Dan's Pierogies

A 1st-timer, heard the rumors for years, yes Dan's is fabulous! Bought several dozen, gave some as gifts for Easter tables. My personal favorite is the spinach pierogis. Oh so scrumptious!

My husband and I (both of Polish decent) heard about this place through a coworker. We wanted to try them at the Pierogi Fest in Whiting, Indiana, but couldn't make it that weekend. We decided to drive from Plainfield, Illinois to their location in Highland, IN and it was TOTALLY worth it. Delicious pierogi, especially the plum and strawberry, and I'm not even a huge fan of sweet pierogi. Super friendly and efficient staff. We ordered a bunch of frozen pierogi to go, but I forget to purchase the pierogi earrings before we left that are handmade by the manager. Looks like we'll be going back soon 😉. 100% would recommend.

Visited Dan's this weekend. Needed my polish food fix. First time being here. It was pretty good not blow my socks off but not bad. We ordered the stuffed cabbage kinda bland to me and meat was really over cooked just kinda mush. We also got the stuffed pepper soup witch was okay. For pierogies we got potato and cheese, meat, and cabbage they were also okay. I like my pierogies with alot of butter like most places and people like them but here my pierogies were dry. But the pierogies had decent flavor probably the best thing we ordered. Then desert was the blue berry pierogies and those were also good. I would reccomend it as we dont have much to choose from out here for polish food.

Pierogies were good, stuffed cabbage had no flavor.

This place is like Highland Indiana's hidden gem... I haven't had every item off their menu but I cant say that I've disliked anything I've already tried... i really wish they sold borscht to go with meat sauerkraut mushroom perogies and they make star loaded potatoe perogies here.... but yeah eitherway i recommend stopping here next tome you are in the area.

Curbside service! You can buy them either freshly cooked in butter or frozen.

Food was good! The only reason I'm not doing 5 stars is because the actual pierogies themselves are so small. I wish the would be a bit bigger.

Cheap and delicious pierogis 🤤. Mushroom and sauerkraut is my favorite. They also sell frozen ones that you can take home with. Would def come back again.

The best pierogies I have ever had in my life ! There homemade plus they have stuffed cabbage and stuffed peppers, and they are so delicious and tasty. Love love this Dan's Pierogies 💋

Mmmmm perogie. Friendly staff great foods!

I was a little disappointed the second time I tried visiting here. I'm not sure who's call it was but the younger cashier told me the kitchen is closed with 5 min until close. Nobody should be able to walk into a restaurant and ask someone to leave just because there is 5 minutes until close. May as well change the business hours to 655 in that case because the staff is dying to leave they can't fry me up some pierogi's and stay an extra 10minutes. Poor management.

Probably one of the best places toget pierogies in NWI, prices are really affordable 75 cents per cooked pierogi can't be beat

I eat here several times a month. The stuffed cabbage and the cabbage & noodles are excellent. And I always have several pierogies with each meal.

Dan's is a small place with great food. While you can eat there most people choose to get it to go. They have tons of different pierogi flavors to choose from so everyone can get something that they like.

Sorry, my pierogi's were hard and not so fresh tasting. I had the cheddar potato, meat and sweet cheese pierogi's that all seemed like they were overcooked. The sweet cheese was not sweet, the meat was bland and the cheddar potato was nothing to be proud of all in a tough dough. I'm sorry Danny, my opinion is that your pierogi's are not the Polish standard. I'll pass next time. On the upside, the establishment is great and was packed with customers enjoying their food. Ironically no one ordered pierogi's except me. Best of luck though.

Good food, small portions and very miserable people that work there. The key to a successful business is to be happy to see your customer! Have employees that welcome your customer instead of treating them like a pain in the ass. I felt very unwelcomed here and I will definitely share the experience outside of Google.

I love this place good yummy pierogies closest too me and my friends go there very often and staff is always super friendly. Their stuff cabbage is also very good

Very friendly woman behind the counter. Food was great, and they had single portion take home options already packaged.

Must go if your in Highland. Meat pierogies are the best I have ever had. So happy the have an actual location over the truck at the farmers market they had a few years ago.

Pulled pork sandwich was one of the best ive had. Pierogies excellent. Cabbage & noodles was good, but lacking on the cabbage. Service was pleasant.

Finally stopped by to see the fair, was not disappointed. I like Pierogi's but seldom get to have them...the place is great! They cook to order and the smile alone is worth the trip: But the service is great. Pricing is fair and the Spinach one is yummy. I am going back.

The pierogies here are small, yes... But so much flavor in them. Seasoned beautifully and it's quite affordable here. My husband and I will definitely be returning.

Finally made it in here! The pierogies were delicious cant wait to try them all. Had the sausage with kraut as well. Friendly staff under priced for the quality you get.

Best pirrogies in Highland. Can buy them cooked or frozen. There's a good variety.

This place is awesome! You can order your pierogies frozen or freshly cooked to order. The prices are affordable on most budgets. They have a great variety of fillings to choose from as well! My favorites are meat and sweet cheese. They also have dessert pierogies and other desserts. I've never had a bad experience here! Customer for life!

We get are pierogies for every single holiday from Dan's!!

This is the only place I go for pierogi. The staff are so friendly and fill my orders promptly and the food is excellent. Home made taste without all the hard work.

I recommend their sweet cheese, kraut and mushroom, and mushroom.

Awesome to find a restaurant serving something different and delicious.
